Golden, I am golden,
a fiery sun burning with a never ending flame.
Red hot centre combusting.
Radiating outward,
wave after wave, fueled by a magnificent wind.
Whirling, blowing life into the feeding flames.
I am alight, radiant, glorious.
a fiery sun burning with a never ending flame.
Red hot centre combusting.
Radiating outward,
wave after wave, fueled by a magnificent wind.
Whirling, blowing life into the feeding flames.
I am alight, radiant, glorious.
Raging heat, the nucleus of creation,
throw me down into your molten heart,
transform me in your crucible.
Forged in the white heat, to arise
a phoenix from your flame.
Base to precious,
lead to gold,
transmutation,
alchemy.
throw me down into your molten heart,
transform me in your crucible.
Forged in the white heat, to arise
a phoenix from your flame.
Base to precious,
lead to gold,
transmutation,
alchemy.

An alchemist studies years in the hope of learning what the heart already knows, that in all of us something precious exists.
Oh that indeed was a very pretty poem. I even liked the shape of it. I first read it as "Transform me in your cubicle" I had to erase the image and start again because of my own mental lapse lol. My favorite line is the confidence of "I am alight, radiant, glorious." Thats what I want to be!
I love this poem, and the message it conveys. So much life and movement in the lines. A poem of transformation. Powerful, Susannah.
Very pretty write.

You almost make me want to throw myself into the flames! But not quite!
so many alchemists searched for the philosopher's stone, when love is all that we need to turn us into gold and fire :)
Thanks everyone for taking the time to read and comment. Much appreciated. :-)
