There are times when we are yearning for quietness
where words are too loud to be spoken
a time for retreat,
for solitude
a time
to mend
what is broken
Sometimes fragility descends on gossamer wings
and spreads its essence on the ordinary things
There are times that cry out for the darkness
There are times when that's all you need
for you know that in those dark places
there are things
that nurture
a seed

Really great! I've been chomping at the bit for your next poem. :) It's always a gift to read your blog. I really liked:

Thanks be not. :-)
It's always good to hear from you - thanks for the feedback.
This is a very nice piece of writing.
Thanks very much Paul. :-)
Oh yes, sometimes it's really as you wrote in your poem :-)
Thanks for visiting Michaela. :-)
It is always good to see you. x
Reminds me of that Simon and Garfunkel Song.....The Sound of Silence. It works its way into one's braincells and leaves a lasting impression.
Hi Eqlektik, yes, the sound of silence! Good to see you here.:-)
Silence and solitude can sometimes be one of the most important things in figureing out ones self. Often times, it sparks the road to recovery when something is really wrong. I feel like for some people quiet time, and just time for reflection is whats needed most.
Hi Sam, I totally agree with you, those are very wise words.
Nice to see you and thanks very much for the comment. :-)
Had to comment again, I like the new layout of the blog. AND, this time through, this really caught me:
Those small wrinkles in our bedrock become molehills,
that can be magnified into mountains,
in those inner cinemas...
Good work.
Thanks so much Be not blind, I really appreciate your feedback and I'm glad you like the new look.
Your comment seems to have posted under the wrong poem though and I don't have a way to move it, sorry.
Thanks very much for visiting and commenting. :-)
Oh, and I like the part with the wings!
Thanks Michaela, it is always good to see you here. :-)
