This is about owning your own creativity, the Sun is symbolic of the creative force, it gives warmth, light and life to all things of nature. The symbolism of swallowing the Sun is to bring all of those things into our inner nature - to let it light up our inner world. To shine from the inside.

Susannah, for sure you are creative and so talented! I looove your sunny words. You know, I'm a person who most of the time creates pictures of what she reads. Now, I imagine me.. swallowing the sun and then shining from the inside.. this is great :-)

Susannah, I really enjoyed this poem. It’s very visual and makes me think of my childhood. I imagine a yellow lemon flavored lollipop that I have bit off the stick and accidentally swallowed. It bothers all the way down yet it was so sticky, sweet, yummie and worth the haste. Maybe not exactly what you expected but thank you for the pleasant thought and reflection it brought me.
Hi Robb - oooh I remember accidently swallowing lollipops, sweets too! I used to be so sad that they had gone before I got my full enjoyment of them! lol
