Do you remember. . .

.
That yellow headed summer

when we drank time like coffee.

Wired and reckless, we abandoned

what was known, for what was not.

We peeled back layers and tore down veils.

Hidden in plain sight. . . we were illuminated.

This poem describes, in essence, the compulsive and joyful nature of summer. Beautifully done, Susannah

Aha! by far the most sunlit lines of all! Beautiful gay abandon of new love wrapped and served in summer hues :) I am loving it.

Beautiful words, Susannah, to describe I feel what it is like to want to reveal, hesitant to do so, holding back and yet...it is there all along, Summer in it's glory. I really like this piece.

Yellow headed summer...
you packed a whole season into a few lines...laid the foundation, and let my imagination do the rest.

Exquisite!
