The Missing Light

Bring that great storm of you

and drive away these bats of melancholy

that swoop and flutter around

my lonely head.

For I have found

that spun gold hair

is no deterrent to darkness.

Bats of melancholy aren't always bad. Sometimes, they push you to find the great storm as well...

I like this poem. But sometimes a full-fledged storm is unnecessary; a soft whisper may have the same effect : )
