Lost For Words

When the words don't come
I look for them.

I shine a torch into dark corners,
- dig down into the silt.

Looking for letters that have fallen
from my mouth as I was speaking.

And there, half buried in the sludge
I find them.

Carefully I dig out each one.

Only to discover that they
spell out one word. . .

Oh that's a very nice way to look for them, I'll certainly try this because I've been falling more and more in long dark spaces of silence I can hardly deal with.

Beautiful!

Take care and keep smiling. :-)

Sometimes it happens we are lost for words and writers certainly need their words. A beautifully written piece that says so much on how one feels. Thank You!
